Pages comparing an AI secretary to a human one almost always open with price: roughly ₪600–1,500 a month against ₪8,000–15,000. Those numbers come from the vendors themselves, and they are both accurate and beside the point — because they compare the cost of two things that do not do the same job.
What a human secretary actually does
- answers the phone — including calls with nothing to do with appointments
- runs the diary — books, moves, cancels, closes gaps
- knows the customers — who Ronit is and why she is always late
- handles exceptions — an angry client, a delivery, a payment that failed
- is physically there — greets people, makes coffee, locks up
Most AI products offered as a replacement do the first one. Some touch the second. None does the last three.
The right question
Not "will AI replace a secretary" but which of the five is hurting you. The answer decides which product is even relevant:
- Missing calls — the problem is the phone. A voice product solves it; a booking system does not.
