Group classes and workshops

Let multiple clients register for the same scheduled session.

By Sagarnu Team

A group class is a service that multiple clients register for together — yoga, pilates, workshops, courses, group training. Instead of clients picking a free time slot, you schedule sessions with a limited number of places and clients grab a spot.

Enabling group classes

Group classes and activities toggle in Working Hours settings

  1. 1Go to Settings → Working Hours.
  2. 2Turn on "Group classes and activities" and click Save.
  3. 3A new Classes screen appears in the main menu.

Creating a group service

  1. 1Go to Services and create (or edit) a service.
  2. 2Set the Booking type to "Group class".
  3. 3Set the capacity — the maximum number of participants per session — and a price per participant.
  4. 4Click Save.

Scheduling sessions

Classes screen with upcoming sessions grouped by day
The Classes screen lists upcoming sessions with how many places are taken.
  1. 1Open Classes from the main menu.
  2. 2Click "New session" for a one-time session: pick the service, instructor, date and start time.
  3. 3Or click "Weekly series" for a recurring class: pick the weekdays (e.g. Sunday + Wednesday), a start date and optionally an end date — sessions are created automatically about 3 months ahead and kept topped up.
  4. 4Choose the location: your business address, another location, or online.

Where the class takes place

A class does not have to happen at your business address. When you create a session or a weekly series you pick one of three options: your business address (shown underneath so you can check it), another location, or online. For another location you can enter a place name such as "Hayarkon Park — near the Sportek" or "Studio B", an address, or both — a park or a beach needs no street address. For an online class you can add a meeting link now or later.

A weekly series sets the location for all of its sessions. To move a single session — say this Tuesday only — open that session from Classes and edit its location there; the rest of the series is unchanged. Clients see the location on the booking page, on their confirmation, and in My Bookings, with a link to open it in Maps or to join the online meeting.

Sagarnu blocks conflicts automatically: a session cannot be scheduled when the instructor has another appointment or session, is on time off, or when the business is closed. On the calendar each session appears as a single event with a participant counter, e.g. "Pilates — 8/15".

Each session is independent — edit or cancel a single one (its time, instructor, capacity, etc.) without affecting the rest. For a recurring class, the series-management panel lists your weekly series and lets you cancel a whole series at once; cancellation affects only future sessions, and past ones are kept.

Managing participants

  1. 1Click a session in Classes (or its calendar event) to open the participant list.
  2. 2Add a participant manually by phone and name — the same capacity and duplicate rules apply.
  3. 3Remove a participant to free their place immediately.
  4. 4After the session starts, mark each participant as attended or no-show.
  5. 5Cancel the whole session to release all participants at once — history is kept.

Clients register from your booking page: group services show the list of upcoming sessions with price and remaining places, full sessions show "Fully booked", and clients can cancel their own registration from My Bookings until the session starts.

💡

Automatic SMS/WhatsApp confirmations for class registrations are not sent yet — if you cancel or change a session, let the participants know directly. The participant list shows each person's phone number.
