Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: August 18, 2026  ·  Applies to: sagarnu.co

1. Who to ask depends on whose information it is

Sagarnu is operated by Sagarnu (a registered Israeli business, Osek No. 558635520). Independent businesses use the service to manage their own appointments and their own customers, so a deletion request has one of two starting points.

If you are a business owner with a Sagarnu account — your account details, business profile, settings and billing information are information we control. Contact us directly using the details below.

If you are a customer of a business that uses Sagarnu — your appointments, contact details and conversations with that business are managed by the business. The business controls that information and we process it on its behalf.

You can approach either the business or us. If you write to legal@sagarnu.co we will identify the business, pass your request to it and help it handle the request. Where the business instructs us to delete the information, and subject to anything we are required or entitled to keep under applicable law, we will carry out the deletion.

This follows the same division of roles set out in our Privacy Policy, which governs if the two ever differ.

2. WhatsApp information received through Meta

Where a business communicates with its customers over WhatsApp through the service, we process the information needed to deliver that conversation:

  • The WhatsApp phone number the customer messages from, and the display name WhatsApp provides
  • The messages exchanged in that conversation, in both directions
  • Delivery and read status reported back by WhatsApp
  • A record of automated replies and of any handover to a person

Access tokens issued by Meta are held in a managed secret store. Only a reference to the secret is kept in our database, never the token itself.

Disconnecting a WhatsApp connection works outward first: we ask Meta to revoke the token, then delete our stored copy, and only then mark the connection inactive on our side. Because they run in that order, a Meta request that does not respond holds up the steps after it, and the connection can stay active until it settles. Any of the steps can fail, none returns a confirmation we could pass on to you, and a failed step is not retried. You can also remove our access from your own WhatsApp Business settings on Meta. That is the one action that does not depend on our systems, and it is the reliable way to stop a token working — though it acts on Meta’s side, so it cannot remove a copy still held in our secret store.

Alongside the conversation itself we keep a raw technical record of the events WhatsApp sends us, which is what makes delivery reliable and lets us investigate faults. A deletion request covers the conversation records described above; the technical event log is handled under the retention practices in our Privacy Policy rather than removed on request.

3. How to make a request

  1. Email legal@sagarnu.co with the subject Data deletion request.
  2. Tell us whether you are a business owner or a customer of a business, and if you are a customer, which business you are asking about.
  3. Include the phone number or email address the information is held under, so we can find the right records. There is no need to send more than that.
  4. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting. This protects you: without it, anyone could ask for someone else’s records to be deleted.

You do not need a Sagarnu account, and you do not need to be logged in, to make a request.

4. What happens next

We aim to complete requests within 30 days, and in every case we act within the timeframes and requirements set by applicable law. The 30 days are our service target, not a fixed statutory deadline.

A deletion request does not always mean every record is erased. We, or the business, may need to keep some information where the law requires or permits it — for accounting and tax obligations, to establish or defend a legal claim, to prevent fraud and abuse, for security, or to meet a regulatory obligation. Where that applies we keep only what is necessary, and we will tell you. Retention is described in our Privacy Policy.

Backups

Once a deletion is approved, the information is deleted or anonymised in our active systems. Copies may still exist for a time in routine backups, which are kept on a normal retention cycle and expire on their own.

Backups are not used for day-to-day operations — they exist so the service can be restored after a failure, which is rare. Restoring one is a manual recovery action carried out by a person, not an automatic process.
